Since Cobbles Kitchen and Deli opened it’s doors to weddings, I am always super excited to shoot there. I have known this building since I was young. Going on bike rides from Pencoed to Ogmore by Sea with my friends and passing there in the car on the way to the beach, I was fascinated by the building. It was an antiques shop back in the day and has always had a great character about it, dating back to the 16th Century. It is very much a landmark on the way to Ogmore-by-Sea.

I was so excited to be booked by Chris and Cerys for their wedding day last year. I had photographed Chris’ sisters wedding previously at Oldwalls in the Gower, and many of her friends and family’s weddings and events and it was great to be booked by the family again. Such great people they will always have a place in my heart as they have always been so hospitable and welcoming at every event. I mean, I’m just the photographer guys… but they treat me like family and that’s special.
Cerys arrived in her own car an electric Mustang! Everyone was so dapper. There was laughter, tears of joy , tears of unhappiness (page boys having to wear bow ties, lol), there were Paper aeroplanes! yes loads of paper aeroplanes! Chris loves paper aeroplanes! The venue was subtly decorated with beautiful boho flower displays accentuating the rustic charm of the building, the vows were heartfelt and a beautiful ceremony was witnessed and documented.
We popped to Merthyr Mawr Village for some portraits which is just a 5 min drive away. A fantastic array of little thatched cottages. I love it there too and have actually documented a wedding at the church there… one for another blog post. Here are just a small selection of images from this great day at cobbles. Cerys and Chris booked my 3 hour coverage package If you’d like to see the whole gallery, its still available in my client area. Drop me a message to see the full gallery 🙂
