Alex and Steph got married at the Broadway county house this June, wow how time has flown since then! They booked me after I was recommended by a guest at another wedding I shot. Wow. Thanks who ever you are! It’s normally the Bride and Groom that do the recommending, but when a guest did too I was chuffed! I do like to make a good impression 🙂
They booked me over a year in advance, and I had been looking forward to doing their pre-wedding shoot at their farm in Llanon, Carmarthenshire, as my mother originates form there and I had great memories of playing in a bluebell woods behind my granddads house. It was emotional! And that was even before the wedding! We had a great time chasing sheep, and running about in the fields above their home during their pre-shoot and we really hit it off. Some fab images, if you know them and want to see the pre-shoot photos just ask them for the password and click this link
And then came the wedding! The first outdoor wedding I have shot! Wow what a great venue, you could see the sea when they were getting married, blue sky, not a cloud in sight. An amazing start to the wonderful heat wave we have had this year.
Steph got ready at the Broadway and Alex arrived in a Maserati, you should have heard the engine roar! The guests were all dressed for summer and the sun shone down on us all day, sunny lotion was required. Although mostly outside, Alex and Steph did have to do the legal bit with their witnesses in the Orangery.
The garden at the Broadway is perfect on a summers day, the kids were messing about and with an endless supply of Corona’s and lime, the laughter continued well into the evening. Hilarious speeches, much love for Alex and Steph especially on the dancefloor after the first dance.
If you want me to photograph your wedding at the Broadway Country House in Laugharne, or anywhere else in the world, drop me an email on chrisfrancisart@ffotos.co.uk – I happily travel for weddings and love seeing new places and meeting new people. 🙂
