Oh what wonderful scenery there is on our doorstep. Just the drive up to Llandefalle in the Brecon Beacons was a pleasure. Apart from getting a little lost up a random lane it made me want to be a Brecon Wedding photographer all the time. Jo and Mike got married in St Matthew’s Church and had the reception a Felin Newydd House, where Jo and her family also got ready.
Felin Newydd House Wedding Photography.
I’m not sure if it has a licence for weddings, but it should do. If it did, or does (I really should do my research), I would be pushing to be the Felin Newydd House wedding photographer every weekend. What a beautiful and charming manor house. Jo and here family got ready at the house prior to the wedding at St Matthew’s Church Llandefalle. Her big sister had come all the way from South Africa and Jo was just the most relaxed bride I have ever met! Not quite sure who was more excited about the Jimmy Choo’s, Jo or her niece – the flower girl!
The grounds of Felin Newydd house are also stunning and the daffodils were blooming. It was a fine day for a wedding. The church was about 5 minutes drive from Felin Newydd house and was decorated very simply with candles in jars decorated with lace which was really effective. I was not allowed to take photographs from the front of the church but the view from the back was pretty cool! Mike’s best man serenaded Jo down the Aisle on his acoustic Guitar and the ceremony was really lovely. Simple and heartfelt in a very historic church.
With Felin Newydd house being booked exclusively by the families for the weekend, it really is a great place to get married or have a celebration. The caterers were fantastic, they fed me too! and the food was amazing, I’m not sure of their company name but Felin Newydd house I’m sure recommends them. The house whilst being very impressive is not too big, so guests do not disappear everywhere keeping the atmosphere. A small and intimate wedding of about 50 guests in total, it was lovely to be part of the day. It’s hard to go unnoticed as the photographer but everyone was very friendly and I felt like I could have stayed all night! Take a look at the gallery and if you are looking for a Brecon Wedding Photographer I would love to be considered.
