Emily and Jake, Coombe Bissett Wedding – The (other) Wedding of the Year –

In Chris Francis Photography Wedding Blog by ffotosLeave a Comment

My second Wiltshire wedding and also my second Bride named Emily getting married in Wiltshire! What a coincidence!

Emily and Jake live in Shanghai and when they decided to get married they thought that they’d like to come back to the UK to do it in style in front of all their family and friends. (Although I’m sure a few of their friends were secretly hoping for a destination wedding!)

Emily got ready in her parents’ home in Coombe Bissett, a beautiful converted barn in a sleepy little village. The church – St Michael and All Angels was just around the corner from their home and the boys got together in the pub which was across the road from their home so it was easy for me to get from place to place without any delay.

I loved the barn, the layout, the wooden beams within and there where so many opportunities for photographs, I was in my element. Such a relaxed ‘getting ready’ session, Hair and make-up was all done by the amazing Victoria Fergusson ( www.victoriafergusson.co.uk ) and Emily wore a beautiful dress from Stephanie Allin Couture (http://www.stephanieallin.net ), shoes from Freya Rose (http://www.freyarose.com ) and Adornments from Jo Malone (http://www.jomalone.co.uk), very British designers to fit in with their very British wedding.

St Michael All angels is a very historic church and Emily’s parents being pillars of the community had arranged for the church to be decorated with lovely bouquets with a little help from thier friends, the ladies must have been working overnight to achieve what they did. It looked amazing. I was allowed to take photographs from the back of the church and I was able to capture the proceedings from a distance making my way forward only to take the traditional ‘signing of the register’ photograph.

Emily and Jake used a Beauford as her wedding car which we had to use for a few photographs at the reception venue, which is a very prestigious converted Barn (bit of the theme here) about 20 miles away from Coombe Bissett, which is only hired out on a word of mouth basis so no official website, but I’m sure you’ll all agree from the photographs, this was an amazing place to hold a reception and a photographers dream.

Congratulations both, I hope you and your friends and family enjoy the blog. Full set will be soon. xx
