James and Judy got married in Llandaff cathedral. They booked me while I was travelling Asia. After some email dialogue and viewing my website they decided to book me without meeting. We actually met for the first time the day before the wedding at the wedding rehearsal in Cardiff. As they both live in Brighton, with James being originally from Cardiff and having strong connections to LLandaff there was no where else they could have got married. What a Cathedral. I love it there, it’s just a shame that photographers can not stand to the side of the couple and are restricted to the back, the architecture is amazing. I prey that they change the rules if anyone is listening, we can be very discreet. 🙂
Judy got ready in the presidential suite at the Hilton where apparently Madonna had stayed previously amongst other famous folk! The reception was held in Cardiff Castle. The rooms there are so beautiful, perfect for a celebration and the undercroft has an intimate feel to it, perfect for a party!
It was great working with these guys. Judy told me she loved randoms in photographs so we stopped at Pontcanna Fields and tried to get a few people in the wedding shoot. We ended up borrowing a French Bulldog!
If you would like me to be your documentary wedding photographer on your big day at Cardiff Castle or Llandaff Cathedral, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
