There is no denying it, I sure am wine fan! When I heard about Llanerch Vineyard we rang them up and booked a 3 course meal and was so impressed we bought an experience there for my parents anniversary. The wine is to die for and the chef there is fantastic. The setting and grounds are perfect for a wedding celebration. I had been waiting for someone to book me for Llanerch Vineyard wedding photography since they announced that they were going to do weddings and I was landed when Lauren and Wayne booked me to cover their wedding reception at Llanerch Vineyard and their wedding at All Saints Church in Penarth. I was so happy! So looking forward to it. Finally able to make Llanerch Vineyard wedding photography!
It was late July when they wed. It was a little cloudy but a great day for a wedding with sun and a slight breeze. Lauren got ready at home in Penarth and her family were so inviting when I arrived. I got a cup of coffee and a very warm welcome. It’s great to meet the family in the morning and there are always great moments to be captured. The page boy and flower girl were looking sharp and super excited too! I was there until just before the Bride left her home and dashed off to the church to see the groom before the bride arrived.
The church was in Penarth at All Saints. Such a modern church, it felt like there was so much room in there, with no where for me to hide, but there was a great balcony for me to get some shots from, as suggested by the Vicar. It was a lovely ceremony with readings in Welsh and English and after the ceremony there was opportunity for some amazing confetti shots, helped by the slight breeze 🙂
As I expected everything at Llanerch seemed to flow really well, from the arrival of guests and the bride and groom through the wedding breakfast and on to the first dance. Down to the fantastic hospitality of the staff at Llanerch and organisation of the wedding planners there, Lauren and Wayne’s wedding day at Llanerch Vineyard went really smoothly and a really nice chilled out vibe. The weather held out and as well as my normal all day ‘documentary wedding photography’ coverage, we were able to make a few portraits in the Vineyard before the wedding breakfast and at the lake as the sun was setting.
The marquee that is set up there is really bright and was decorated perfectly with hand made bunting and decorations by Lauren herself. Very creative indeed. It was an amazing day, please check out the photographs in the gallery and if you are looking for a photographer to cover your Llanerch Vineyard wedding, it would be great to be considered, contact me via the contact form.
